Water is the primary foundation of life, and it has a number of benefits. Drink it in the morning to kickstart your metabolism and keep drinking it throughout the day for better digestion and nutrient absorption.

Keeping the water flowing can also keep your skin hydrated and provide other benefits to parts of your body like your joints lubricated and clearing out any nasal congestion. 

It may seem like the least thing, but keeping away those little annoyances can keep your mind clear and your body healthy.

Develop a Sleep Schedule

In college, you could get away with staying up till 2 AM every night to study (or to party, who are we kidding?). You could go an entire weekend on just three hours of sleep and feel perfectly fine.

Nowadays, there’s no way you’re surviving on that kind of schedule.

Our bodies crave routine, and the easiest way to do that is by adhering to a sleep schedule. You need to make sure you’re getting at least eight hours every day. 

Adhering to a sleep schedule is going to have profound effects on the rest of your lifestyle. Your mood will improve thanks to more rest, your brain will be better-rested, and you’ll recover quicker from injuries or illnesses.

Take a Break

Did you know that roughly 50% of Americans don’t use their vacation days during a year? Whether it’s to get ahead in their career or show their work ethic, more and more people aren’t taking a break.
