First Timers Guide to Jackon Hole, Wyoming

Coming to Wyoming for the first time is going to be a lot of fun since you would experience everything the city has to offer for the first time. There is no way you won’t want your trip to be as beautiful as possible. It is most likely that you are coming to Jackson, and there is no way you won’t feel at home here. Now we can tell that you are also in need of a guide for this trip. Going somewhere for the first time can be a little bit challenging, and international travelers would also have to ensure their ESTA is in check but more on that later. Let us take a look at some of the things you can do in Jackson Hole, Wyoming if you are going for the first time.

A lot of people think they can ride a horse until they get on its back. Horses are fun to ride, and there are many of them available for you to take a ride. The great thing about this place is that you can go on a ride for more than two hours if you like. One of the stables recommended for you is the Spring Creek Stables where you would find the Trails Rides. The view of this place is to die for, and the ride is going to blow you away!
  2. THE TRAM:
It is not every day you get to see a tram, especially if you are in a country that doesn’t have any. This is why you should ensure that your trip all over Jackson should be with a tram. Going on a ride would give you a good look of the valley and the village. There is even a belief about waffles tasting better when you are on top of the world – well, you would feel on top of the world on the tram.
This is a 3-mile trail that doesn’t have much in terms of elevation. It is a great place to take a hike, and it would get you closer to the Teton’s. Just make sure you are on the trail earlier – the place gets filled up quickly.
The city of Wyoming might not be the largest in the world, but they surely have music on their side. On Monday nights, you get the Hootenanny at Dornan’s. On Tuesday nights, you can head to The Wort to check out Bluegrass. The best part is summer events, as you can check the schedule for the Jackson Hole Live. The weekends do not mark the end of your fun, as you can head to the village on Sunday to check out the Concerts on the Commons.
  5. RIDING THE SNAKE: This is one of the most interesting things you can engage in Jackson. Head to the river and get on a raft – it would be an adventure of a lifetime. You don’t even have to worry about getting wet as the memories it brings would outweigh getting wet.

Before we move on, we have to address the ESTA we mentioned earlier for international travelers. An ESTA Application is one of the shortest and fastest things you can do to get access to travel into another country. It doesn’t take more than 5 minutes as you would only have to fill a form online to get it. But wait, how long is my ESTA valid? Good question – an ESTA authorization is usually valid for up to two years, and it covers multiple trips within that time frame. Now that we have cleared that off our chest, we can move on!

  1. THE FOOD: the food in Jackson is not bad at all. One bite and you would feel at home! All your favorites would definitely be here. You can get a cup of coffee at Persephone, or you can head on to Café Genevieve to have your breakfast. A lot of travelers showed interest in the Lotus Café when they wanted to have their lunch, so you should check that out – besides, it’s worth the adventure anyways. And if it wasn’t worth all the fuzz, then you can have a beer at the Thai Me Up to cool off.

There is a lot more you can do in Jackson, and there is no limit for you even if you wanted to! You can head on to the Wildlife Safari to add more wild to your wild adventure. But we know that you would still not be satisfied – all first timers are never satisfied. This is very understandable, but there is no way you can do it all. The only suggestion left is that you go to Yellowstone to wrap up your trip. This is where all the life is, and you would feel more fulfilled than you ever were!
